Asking if the game is worth it on the game's subreddit seems silly. I would say as long as you go in with an open mind that this is more a Viking game versus and assassin game you'll be fine. Lots of cool fighting, pillaging, etc but the stealth aspects are kinda subdued. I loved it, but AC purist probably were a little turned off by it.

Verdict. A lot of what The Hidden Ones gets right is its ability to take familiar concepts from Assassin’s Creed Origins and make them feel new again by means of a new purpose, a new story, and AC Origins is still a 9/10 to me, and the world and story is incredible, the map is actually much bigger and the cities are more impressive (but it's Assassin's Creed so that's not surprising). Even the small details they've put in still surprise me 40 hours in. Definitely worth a buy imo, it's impressive to see what an extra year can do.
