Dang it. I was really hoping that my first ever A330-300 Delta One review would have occurred under much happier circumstances. All you need to know is that this was actually a downgrade to what I had originally booked. Delta has three types of economy fares: Comfort+, Main Cabin and basic economy. Basic economy provides a lower-priced fare but places restrictions or fees on seat assignment, upgrades, changes and ā for some destinations ā checked baggage. Also, since early 2022, basic economy flights no longer earn Delta miles. In C+, bags are $30 per traveler for the first bag. Assuming this person doesn't qualify for free checked bags (and they intended to bring 1 bag anyway), that would essentially bring the cost of the upgrade to $60 per person. Not a bad deal for a larger seat on a 4 hour flight imo. 9.

Kidding aside, I think business class is worth it just for the flat bed. Take a Xanax and sleep half the flight, arrive refreshed at your destinationā¦if that is important to you. If you are into a little risk, many airlines also sell last-minute upgrades for open business seats, which could save you a lot of money. Check to see if that is an
